Old school directions:
- Take exit 8 off I-95 and proceed on Highway 278 toward Hilton Head Island.
- After crossing the bridges onto the Island, stay on Business Highway 278. Don’t go onto the toll road as that will take you to the other end of the island. Instead stay in the right lanes and “go under” the toll road fly over to stay on the 278.
- After mile marker 5, move over to the left lane
- After passing the entrance to Port Royal, look for a green Folly Field directional sign in the central median
- Move into the left slip road for the left turn at the traffic light on Folly Field Road.
- Drive .4 miles and turn left to stay on Folly Field Road. This turn is kind of hidden, the roadway kinks around to the right but Folly Field Road branches off to the left; it is sign posted. There is a yellow diamond road sign showing the curve to the right with a left spur – take the left spur.
- Drive .5 miles further to 85 Folly Field Road. The security gate house will be on your right, you’ll see some tennis courts on your right through trees and bushes just before The Island Club’s entrance.
